According to recent data, the population of seniors in Oregon is now larger than the population of those aged 17 and younger, marking the first time this demographic shift has occurred in the state. This is due to a combination of lower birth rates and increased life expectancy.
Join us for Bennett Vineyards tastiest event of the year on Sunday, March 16th from 12pm to 5pm in Cheshire, Oregon. Wine tasting, live music, and appetizers will delight visitors with 10% of all wine sales donated to the Lane Senior Support Coalition. Members of the board, senior services industry members, and Lane county residents are all invited to enjoy local wine and each others company while supporting a vital local senior organization. The event is organized by Senior Living 911, a Eugene based Referral Agency that assists seniors with housing placement when they can no longer live alone. The Lane Senior Support Coalition is also based in Eugene and is dedicated to helping low income seniors maintain their well-being and independence through an emergency support fund. The Lane Senior Support Coalition is 100% volunteer managed with 100% of donated funds used to support at risk seniors.
